We are one family. One family . . . by blood or marriage or friendship. We live in the same small town in Central Illinois. We are moms and daughters. We are sisters and cousins. We are grandmas and wives and aunties.

We all love to quilt and were raised to believe that a girl should always wear her undershirt. And, on those days when you
wear a dress, a petticoat is always in order. This is where you'll find photos and stories of our quilting adventures.

"Over & Under"

I started this 3 weeks ago and finished the top last Sunday.  Today, Olivia and I got to Sew Sassy in Urbana to pick up backing.  The prints are Westminster designs by Denyse Schmidt that I picked up in Washington at Peddler's Way.  The pattern design was chosen from "Scrap Basket Sensations" by Kim Brackett, which is a book I got when we were in Dallas.   Yes, I do find quilt shops everywhere we go!

  1. Beautiful!! We just got that book in at the shop where I work and I was really drawn to that particular pattern. What are you planning to do with this quilt?

  2. I have a friend who loves cobalt and cream...her whole house is highlighted with them and has been as long as we've known each other. It's her signature. I always think of her when I see a cobalt/cream combination print. I think it will become hers.
Lots of patterns that I loved in one book! Have a great weekend! I'm hoping to spend mine in the quilt studio with an occasional trip to the laundry room.
